Industry Connections: Product Marketing Management with Xindao “Ginny’’ Hu, PhD

The 2015 Industry Connections series will focus on perspectives from people working in industry and how they successfully transitioned to these positions.

The speaker will give a short presentation and then open the topic up for Q & A. Please be willing to participate in the discussion. This event is for a limited number of postdocs and a light lunch will be provided.

This month will feature Xindao “Ginny’’ Hu, PhD: Product Marketing Manager at Volcano Corporation, who will discuss "Product Marketing Management".

Speaker Bio:

Ginny Hu, PhD, is currently a Product Marketing Manager at Volcano Corporation (a Philips company). Prior to her current role, Dr. Hu was a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator in the same company. She was a Postdoctoral Scientist in the lab of Dr. Anirvan Ghosh (Hoffman La-Roche/UC San Diego). As a postdoc, she worked on a joint stem cell research project between Hoffman La-Roche and UC San Diego involving the use of patient derived iPSCs in order to model Autism Spectrum Disorders. During her postdoctoral career, Dr. Hu served as the Vice Chair of Career Development and subsequently the Interim Chair/Recording Secretary of the UC San Diego Postdoctoral Association from 2013-2014. Dr. Hu obtained her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012.
